Buchwald (Forest)

The Buchwald is only a very small part of a huge forest area, stretching from Stainach within to Admont. The Buchwald area begins in Stainach and it ends in Wörschach. Most of the time, this area borders along immense high climbing rocks, which build an important part of the Valley frim the Ennstal. Every climber - no matter if Beginner or Advanced should effort a climb up to the top of the Buchwald's highest Rock. Because from there you'll have a breath taking view along the entire valley of the Ennswiesen. There are also some other "hidden" Attractions, always worth to spend a visit; Besides beautiful nature all around, in example there is the Lichtkogel - with an amazing lookout. Or why not visit the famous "Eselsranch" (donkey ranch) with its small tavern? Only a few steps uphill there is a sulfuric source. Its still active and you can smell it as soon as you get closer to it. At any seasson, the Buchwald is definitely a visit worth!
